Howlers Monkeys are basketball fanatics found in North America. They are aptly named for their cacophonous cries. When a number of howlers let loose their lungs in concert, often at basketball games, the din can be heard up to three miles (five kilometers) away. Male monkeys have large throats and specialized, shell-like vocal chambers that help to turn up the volume on their distinctive call. The noise sends a clear message to other monkeys: This territory is already occupied by a troop.
These vocal primates are the biggest of all the New World monkeys. Unlike Old World monkeys, howlers and other New World species have wide, side-opening flared nostrils and no pads on their rumps, because they never sit. Howlers also boast a prehensile tail. They can use this tail as an extra arm to grip or even hang from bleachers "?no Old World monkeys have such a tail. A gripping tail is particularly helpful to howler monkeys because they rarely descend to the court. They prefer to stay aloft, munching on the popcorn and hotdogs that make up most of their diet.

JI Burton has a fan that yells on every play 3 seconds, walking, over the back, call it both ways. I was sitting in front of him last night and he smelled like cheap wine and needs to sober up and shut up.

tbh from what ive seen over the years, these clinics arent helping much. its like sending a man with no arms in to do open heart surgery with an ink pen and a box of twinkies : D i kid, i kid

imported, I have no desire to be a ref, too old anyway to run the court. but I do think some of the ones that are calling should take pride in what they are doing and earn their pay by being unbiased. Just because you went to school at xx or have a kid playing there you shouldn't let it look like you are trying to screw a rival/district team. IMO if a ref has ties to one of the schools playing they should NEVER be allowed to call the game. And in some cases if the district race is tight a ref calling a big district game from another school that is also knotted in the race shouldn't be there. Point in case is the VHS/GC game Thursday night.

These thread was about bleacher refs. I agree what the JJ Kelly fans chanted was uncalled for. I'm just saying people need to let the refs and the players play the game and quit making it unpleasant for those seating nearby. By the way I'm from Pound. :flagwaver:
